On May 25 we hosted our first Multicultural fair. Students created booths representing cultures from around the world including maps, flags, clothing, dance, music and, of course, food! Scroll down to see the recipes for the delicious international dishes.
INGREDIENTS
~boiled water
~grated onions, garlic, carrots (optional)
~all purpose flour
~softened butter
~salt
~Oil

STEPS
1. Bring water to a boil. Add salt to taste and stir. Set aside.
2. Grate the onions, garlic, carrots and add it to the flour.
3. Add softened butter to the flour mix.
4. Incorporate the hot water into the flour and mix with a wooden spoon. Once it starts merging, use your hands.(add more flour or water if needed) You’re looking for a dough-like consistency.
5. Portion out the dough into equal sizes. Let it rest for 20-30 mins.
6. Roll out the portion into a circle.
7. Heat up a frying pan and add a dollop of oil.
8. Place rolled out dough in the pan and fry till golden on both sides. (Repeat steps 7 & 8 with all portions) Serve with sauce, rice, veggies etc. or by itself.
