Here are some of the great things going on in the library!

Diverse Reads Challenge

During Black HIstory Month (Feb) and Women's History Month (March), Students were challenged to read at least two books. When students completed a book, they wrote or recorded a recommendation for the book on the library media center website.

On April 12, the 40 students who rose to the challenge by reading two books attended an ice cream party. The delicious ice cream was donated by Cal's Creamery in Reading.

The twelve students reading three or more books were entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card donated by Target.

Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!

This I believe Essay Writing

Every student in the school was challenged to write a "This I Believe" essay. This I Believe is an international organization engaging people in writing and sharing essays describing the core values that guide their lives. Students each picked one thing they believed in, developed their thoughts, and wrote an essay in their English class. A committee of teachers has picked 10 winners to recognize at the end of the year award ceremonies. Stay tuned!
