Onewa Voices is our premium choir at Northcote college. We are an auditioned ensemble made up of SATB parts (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass). We perform a wide variety of songs including NZ art music, Pasifika, musical theatre, folk, sacred, and madrigals. Our goal is to perform with meaningful intention while developing transferable musical skills and vocal technique. Students in the choir have numerous opportunities to perform in the year. Performances include various school and community concerts, and the Big Sing - a national group-singing competition for secondary schools.
There is one main rehearsal weekly and Members are expected to attend all rehearsals and memorise their parts at home.
