LSCs are responsible for creating and maintaining a School Learning Support Register for each school they work in. This register is a list of students who have challenges or differences that affect their learning. This could include specific learning difficulties, mental health and emotional difficulties, sensory difficulties (Vision and Hearing), and other ongoing health issues.
A Combined Learning Support Register ensures data is shared securely and effectively while preserving students' privacy so schools can analyse trends, highlight needs, and work together to address learning support actions across the Kahui Ako.
