The Chemistry I course collection materials can be used in a variety of foundational chemistry courses, including (but not limited to) high school AP chemistry course, pre-chemistry one-semester course, General Chemistry I course for STEM majors, general education science course for non-STEM majors, the General, Organic, Biochemistry (GOB) course taken by nursing students, etc. Instructors who teach Chemistry II can also use this collection as remedial materials for students who need to refresh their prerequisite knowledge.
This course collection can be used with full flexibility. New or experienced instructors who haven’t taught chemistry using online or blended methods can use this collection to build the basis of their digital teaching and learning resources. Instructors who have accumulated their own resources can selectively use or adapt materials from this collection to enhance their courses. When using the module materials entirely, instructors can make a copy of the Google Docs in their own Google Drive, remove answer keys or teaching tips, make adaptations as needed, and post the Google Doc links in their course LMS to share with students (make sure the Google Docs are set to be visible to anyone at the institution). When using part of the module materials, instructors can first download the linked resources or copy the resource URLs. Then, they can add the resources and the license information from the Google Docs to the desirable places of their course LMS.
