The UNC System Digital Course Enhancement Collections provide thousands of open, faculty-vetted resources (OER) that support 13 of the most high-demand courses offered across UNC System institutions. Subjects covered include calculus 1&2, pre-calculus, statistics, quantitative reasoning, accounting, economics, biology, anatomy, and chemistry. These collections were developed over the summer by 13 teams of cross-institutional, disciplinary faculty, librarians, and instructional designers. In this webinar, the speakers will discuss will discuss this initiative and share how OER, outreach, student success and liaison librarians can engage with faculty to help them adopt and adapt these resources for their own classes.

Open licenses attached to OER allow for the creation of customized materials, unlike commercial textbooks. As a result, OER provide opportunities for faculty to incorporate more inclusive materials. In this session, the presenters will share ways to adapt or build materials that include multiple voices and viewpoints, especially from underrepresented groups.
