Srta. Marieli

¡Hola! My name is Marieli Urquiza-Trujillo and I am so proud to be one of the Spanish teachers at Meadowbrook Elementary School. I currently teach all 4th and 5th grade Spanish classes. Sra. Portugal teaches 1st grade and Sra. Scherer teaches 2nd and 3rd grade.

I am an educator with several years of classroom experience, both as an aide and as a lead teacher, however this is my first year teaching my own Spanish classroom and I am incredibly excited to begin my teaching journey at Meadowbrook! I attended Elmhurst University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in World Language Education and a minor in Communications, I enjoy working with students and helping them meet their learning goals as well as creating a safe environment where they feel comfortable to learn, grow, express themselves, and develop important life skills. I feel so lucky to be part of the Meadowbrook community and to help children build confidence and excitement for language. I love being a teacher and truly appreciate getting to know my students.
