ECA


ECA stands for the Educational Center for the Arts. Eighth grade students at NBIS may apply to attend ECA while they are at NBHS.

Some Facts About ECA:

• Located in New Haven’s Audubon Arts District.

• Since 1973 has been a leader in fostering the education of emerging artists.

• High school students from over twenty-five school districts attend ECA in the afternoon.

• Students attend their home high school during the morning and attend ECA during the afternoon hours.

• Areas of study include: creative writing, dance, music, theatre and visual arts.

• Open House: Typically runs in November of each school year

• Shadowing is available for interested students with a Shadow Request Form. Please contact ECA and they will mail one to you or you can click on the following link to obtain one on their admissions page click here
