Dear 6A Families and Friends,
Congratulations to our amazing 6A Cast & Crew for an amazing Opening Night! As Freaky Friday hits the stage this week, we want to give a huge shout-out to our talented 6A students who have put in so much hard work and heart. The NAMS Drama Club musical runs December 4–6, and tickets are available during lunches or at the door ($12 adults, $5 students; cash or check to NAMS Drama, exact change appreciated). We are so proud of our 6A performers and backstage crew!
Special message from Mrs. Manning:
Hello 6A parents & guardians! Today is the last day of trimester one, and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say how wonderful it was to have your kids in class this trimester even if it was for a brief amount of time. They should be proud of all their hard work in ARW, I will truly miss them. I wish them a fabulous rest of the school year in 6th grade. Luckily I will still see 23 of these faces during homeroom. 😀
~Mrs. Manning~
Trimester 2 begins on Monday. Students have already made copies of their new schedules for their lockers and agenda books, so they’ll know where to go on Monday. We also want to extend a huge thank you to Mrs. Manning for all she has taught our team in Applied Reading and Writing this trimester. For Trimester 2, students will now be taking Digital Literacy with Mr. Sturtevant.
Wednesday, Dec. 10th, is a half day with an 11:05 dismissal. Trimester 1 grades and comments will be available in PowerSchool on Friday, December 12th at 2:30 p.m.
Many of you have asked to be kept updated about what our classrooms need, and we are always incredibly appreciative of any hand-me-downs from cleaning out junk drawers. Old crayons, markers, and even half-pencils will find a happy home in our rooms. Our current wish list includes tissues, pencils, adult-size scissors, colored pencils, PaperMate pens, paper towels, handheld pencil sharpeners, Expo markers, glue sticks, and liquid glue. Thank you so much in advance for your support!
Please see our Weekly 6A Learning Calendar, which provides a preview of what’s coming up in the week ahead. Detailed instructions and assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. You can also visit Homework Slide through the links provided. Mr. Goncalves’s Weekly NAMS Message to Families page is available through this link. You’ll also find details about the NAMS Booster Bash fundraiser there.
Have a wonderful weekend,
The 6A Team
