Kindergarten - Squirrels

IMG_5891.MOV

"Kindergartners played a game in which they pretended to be squirrels collecting acorns for the winter, all while staying safe from a hawk predator! When the game is over, how do they figure out if they collected enough acorns for winter? They count the acorns! Students gave Ms. Katie their ideas for counting a large number of acorns in a short amount of time. Here is the idea they settled on: counting by ones out loud, together as a group."
