Second Grade - Beavers

[Above] 2nd Grader: "I wanted to look at my teeth in the mirror because we wanted to see how sharp our teeth were. The orange [in beaver teeth] is the iron. Molars are inside of the beaver mouth.

[Right] 2nd Grader: I’m looking at my teeth. We were looking at them so we can see the differences to the beaver teeth. What was different is that we have k-9s and they don’t. They don’t have k-9s because they don’t eat meat.

[Above] 2nd Grader: "[They were] comparing their teeth to beaver’s teeth. We looked for things that were the same and different. Something different is they don’t have k-9s. The front is orange of beaver teeth. Humans and beavers both have molars. We both have incisors too.

Students in Ms. C's class made playdough models of beavers, dams, and streams.
