Most Common Troubleshooting Steps
Listed below are general iPad troubleshooting tips. Make note of your iPad passcode to ensure you can login to the iPad if is restarted.
1. Close all apps - Double-click the home button to show the app switcher, swipe all apps up and off the screen so no apps are actively running.
-- Try the app again
2. Close all Safari tabs - Open Safari, tap and hold the two squares (top right), tap 'Close all tabs' to confirm.
-- Login to TigerID again
3. Clear Safari history - Settings app > Safari > Clear History and Website Data > Tap Clear to confirm.
-- Login to TigerID again
4. Hard Reset - Simultaneously hold both the power button and home button until you see the Apple logo (10-15 seconds), then let go of both buttons.
-- Allow the iPad to restart, try again
5. Software Update - Settings app > General > Software Update. Allow the iPad to download, update, and restart.
-- If you receive a message stating "Your iPad is running the latest version allowed by your administrator" your iPad is up-to-date.
-- If you are unable to process a software update, please contact servicedesk@northallegheny.org.
Further Troubleshooting Steps:
6. Reset Network Settings - Settings app > General > Reset Network Settings > Enter passcode > Tap Reset to confirm.

7. Reset All Settings - Settings app > General > Reset All Settings > Enter passcode > Tap Reset to confirm.

Some websites (such as Ed) and videos (such as YouTube) require changes to pop-ups and cookies:
8. Disable Pop-ups - Settings app > Safari > Block Pop-ups (toggle the radio button off)
9. Disable Cross-site Tracking - Settings app > Safari > Prevent Cross-Site Tracking (toggle the radio button off)
Other helpful tips:
10. Close Safari tabs automatically - Settings app > Safari > Close Tabs > After One Day
11. Login to YouTube - Open Safari, go to www.youtube.com, sign in with your full @nastudents.org Google account.
12. Check for App Updates - Open Self Service, tap Reinstall beneath the app, tap Reinstall to confirm.
