There are hundreds of Macbooks that need to be updated to Monterey before the start of school in August. Students: Standardized Testing requires all computers to be on a specific OS for the test to accurately run. All tests during the 23/24 year will be digital. This update is extremely important; if you don't want your laptop taken for a few hours for the update at the start of school, follow the instructions to update on your own.

Why is it important to update your operating system?

Operating system updates provide fixes to possible bugs and security holes, along with cleaning up outdated software that may slow down your device. Ensure that your computer is using the latest version of its OS that the district allows to protect the devices and data from cybersecurity issues.
