Fall Star Assessment Window for PK: Through September 30, 2020

• Before starting a test with an in-person student, connect the headphones and do a sound check to be sure the student can hear clearly.

• Monitor Password: The monitor password has been removed, so students will not be asked to enter the monitor password when starting a Star Assessment. However, if a student attempts to pause/stop an assessment or if they attempt to re-start after pausing/stopping, they will still be asked to enter a monitor password. The monitor password is: admin

• Remember that full Star information is available on the NSC Dashboard Star page.

• Teachers & Students should access Star through the Clever Portal using your Google account.

• Teachers: Here a few reports that will be especially helpful in reviewing data after you administer the assessments:

• • Star Summary Report: gives an overview of various scores produced by the Early Literacy test, including Scale Score, Grade Equivalent, Percentile Rank (National), Estimated ORF, etc.

• • Monitor Student Mastery Dashboard: allows you to drill down into standards, skills, and specific early literacy sub-domains for the whole class or for specific students.

  • Instructional Planning - Student Report: gives a breakdown of assessment data for an individual student; shows specific skills for which the student is ready for instruction.
