Jared VanVickle is the Director of Bands at Norman North High School. 

Prior to his appointment as the Director of Bands at Norman North in May 2022, Mr. VanVickle served 5 years as the Assistant Band Director from 2017-2022. He has also taught band in Orlando, Florida. Mr. VanVickle attended the University of Oklahoma where he received his Bachelor’s of Music Education in 2015. Mr. V also spent time pursuing a Masters in Music for trumpet performance at the University of South Florida School of Music in Tampa.

As a trumpeter, he has performed across the country with appearances at the 2014 National Trumpet Competition in Pennsylvania and at the 2013 National Intercollegiate Band in Boston. Mr. V has also performed with the University of South Florida Wind Ensemble in Charleston, South Carolina as principal trumpet and featured soloist for the 2016 Southeastern Conference of the College Band Director’s National Association. He was the 7th grade CODA Chairperson for the 2019-2020 school year.

Mr. VanVickle was the 2021-2022 Phi Beta Mu Outstanding Young Band Director for the state of Oklahoma.

Anna Fitzgerald

Anna Fitzgerald is a music educator in the Oklahoma City area who specializes in woodwinds. Originally hailing from Dallas, Texas, Ms. Fitzgerald moved to Norman to attend school at the University of Oklahoma where she received her bachelor’s in music education. In her time at OU Ms. Fitzgerald was recognized for her saxophone playing on the state, national, and international level, performed in concert and jazz ensembles, taught in public school systems, and was recognized for her leadership in various outreach and diversity initiatives within the school of music. 

Ms. Fitzgerald now serves as the Assistant Band Director at Norman North High School. Since joining the North team in 2022, Ms. Fitzgerald has lead several pit orchestras, earned the NNHS Symphonic Band's first ever Sweepstakes at OSSAA State Contest, and was named Norman Public Schools 2023 Rookie Teacher of the Year. She was the Chairperson for the 2024 CODA Symphonic Band, and served on a panel discussion titled "Finding Your Footing in the First Five Years" at the 2024 OkMEA Conference. 

Heather Bellows

Mrs. Bellows is the Band Director at Whittier Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Instrumental Music from the University of Oklahoma. Before teaching at Whittier, Mrs. Bellows instructed bands at Christian Heritage Academy in Del City for three years. Prior to this, she taught in the Moore Public School system for three years. She was the Band Director at Moore West Junior High School and an Associate Band Director at Westmoore High School. She was also the Color Guard Coordinator while at Westmoore High School. Prior to teaching in Moore schools, Mrs. Bellows taught at Irving Middle School in Norman for six years. She is married to David Bellows, and they have three children.

Brian Dailey

Percussion Instructor

Brian Dailey began his pursuit of a music career at the University of Oklahoma in 2008. There, he studied percussion with Dr. Lance Drege, Dr. Ricardo Coelho de Souza, and Dr. Nathan Daughtrey. In 2010, Brian won the spot of tenor captain with the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, a world-class organization that competes in the Drum Corps International circuit. As a member of the Boston Crusaders, he spent the summer touring and competing around the country. In May of 2012, Brian earned a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance degree and won the outstanding percussion undergraduate award that same year. Immediately after graduation, he signed a 6 and a half month contract with Carnival Cruise Lines playing drumset for the showband onboard the Carnival Splendor.

Brian has also been an active music educator, taking the position of head drumline coordinator at Putnam City High School for the past two years as well as coordinating percussion clinics and teaching privately in the Norman and Oklahoma City area.
