Norman Public Schools (NPS) is a public school system with a diverse student body in a mid-sized suburban community in Norman, Oklahoma. All students are expected to be college and career ready, prepared through rigorous academic work, experienced in participatory and collaborative learning, and proficient in technology and information literacy skills. The following three schools (one from each level) were selected for participation in this grant: Norman High School, Longfellow Middle School, and Lincoln Elementary School. The schools have diverse student population, qualified full-time certified school librarians with MLIS (Master’s of Library and Information Science) degrees, and have been implementing Guided Inquiry Design Process units. All three schools enthusiastically agreed to participate in this study.
