Library Policies
Hours: 8:15 - 3:30
The library may be closed infrequently for classes, meetings, or cleaning. Please check the signs on the door before entering. If you would like additional details about a particular day, please email Mrs. Oard.
Library is open during recess, but it is limited to 15 students per grade level subgroup. If you are interested, you will need to sign up every morning for each day you would like to attend. Click here to sign up.
Physical Books
Loan period is 3 weeks, but you are encouraged to bring the book(s) back as soon as you are finished. This shows respect to other library users who may wish to read the same book.
Based on evolving guidelines about COVID-19 and various library materials, all returned books will be quarantined for a minimum of one week before being available to check out by other library users.
If you have lost or damaged a library book, please email Mrs. Oard. She understands that sometimes these things happen, but you do need to take responsibility by talking to her about what happened.

Where can I find books?
Physical Books
You can search the online catalog and put books on hold.
When your books are ready, you will get a notification email they they are ready to be picked up in the library.
If you are a fully virtual student, you can pick up your books via Curbside Library Pickup (click on the image to the left for more info).
Digital eBooks & Audio Books
You can search and access digital books via the Sora App.
Make sure you connect to both Norman Public Middle Schools and Pioneer Library System Oklahoma to get many more options!
Can't find what you're looking for?
Fill out a Book Purchase Request about a title or series.
Email Mrs. Oard about the need for a certain genre or subject.

How do I log onto the Library Catalog or Sora App?
Your username is your student ID/lunch number.
Your password is 9876.
Please email Mrs. Oard if you have trouble logging in or accessing either resource.

Fill out the Book Recommendation Form and get personalized recommendations from your librarian, Mrs. Oard.
Browse the curated lists on Sora. They are located on the "Explore" home page after you login to Sora.

Visit the What Should I Read Next website to get other ideas based off one book you love.
How can I check my library account?
Go to the Alcott Library Catalog and log into your account.
Your user ID is your lunch number and the password is 9876.
