Sustainability for the Conference

  • Travel: We encourage public transportation, walking, or sharing private transportation as much as possible. You can find all this information on the Travel section.

  • Online: Our conference website provides all the information and we prefer not to have printed materials either for the workshops or for conference information.

  • Orders: We have carefully calculated, ordered and designed materials for the conference so that they can be re-used for future events or school use.

  • Gifts: The gifts chosen promote sustainability (the coffee cup is re-usable and the tote bag is made of 100% recycled plastic).

  • Water usage: The water in Denmark is safe and drinkable. There are cooled filtered water stations on each floor.

  • Re-cycle and re-use: There are plastic, paper and general waster bins on each floor. There will be compost (green) bags in the canteen for food disposal. If you are not sure, please ask a helper. Please return your lanyard when leaving so that we can re-use them.

  • Lunch and food: We are preparing as much food as possible in our canteen kitchen, instead of ordering externally or buying from the supermarket. This reduces packaging and food waste.

Hygiene and Safety at the conference

  • Identification: All participants must wear their conference lanyard so we can identify who is in the building.

  • Handwashing: We ask participants to wash hands regularly, particularly before and after eating. There are toilets located on each floor and also hand sanitizers at the refreshment stations.

  • Fire Safety: Each room has a fire safety map. In the event of a fire or evacuation, an announcement will be given and everyone should safely and promptly leave the building and go to the assembly area near the school. There will be marshalls with yellow shirts who will guide to the gathering area.

Substitutions, Cancellations, Refunds and No-show Policies

Substitutions and cancellations must be coordinated via nnconference22@ish.dk


Substitutions may be requested up until 4 November 2022 without Penalty.


Evening Social cancellations must be requested 14+ days prior to the event to qualify for a refund. A refund will not be granted for cancellations within 14 days of the social outing.


No-Shows: Registrants who fail to attend the conference and do not contact NN Staff prior to the conference start date with a cancellation request, via mail or e-mail will automatically forfeit all registration fees.


Deadlines for the refund of attendee registration fees:


  • Up to 1 October 2022 – Full refund will be issued.


  • Cancellation before 14 October 2022 – Refund 50% of the fees.


  • No refunds after 14 October 2022.
