About SRCHS

This college-preparatory classroom-based program offers a project-based and integrated curriculum collaboratively designed by SRCHS teachers. Participating in project-based learning requires students to engage in the entire process from design to assessment, which develops essential, independent, life-long learning skills. Simultaneously, students develop meaningful relationships with both peers and adults. Students, as Freshmen and Sophomores, master foundation skills required in upper division courses. Then as upperclassmen, students are strongly encouraged to get involved in internships and other community projects. Working together in teams, students utilize content-based skills and knowledge in authentic, real world applications. Taking student work outside of the classroom to the larger community allows students to explore and analyze their role as effective citizens in both a diverse local and global society. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges with all courses approved for a-g college credit by the University of California system.
