What is Xello?
Xello is an interactive, web-based program designed to help students prepare for life after high school. It allows students to explore career options, colleges, scholarships, and training programs based on their individual interests, strengths, and goals. Xello also helps students build real-world skills like resume writing, setting goals, and understanding what’s needed for future career paths.
How Your Student Uses Xello During Wolverine Time:
During Wolverine Time, students spend time in Xello working through lessons that support college and career readiness. They complete activities like interest and skills assessments, explore career clusters, build their resumes, and start mapping out their future plans. As the school counselor, I guide students through these steps, helping them think critically about their options and stay on track for graduation and post-secondary success. (Ask your Counselor how Xello is incorporated in the other buildings)
Parents are encouraged to talk with their students about what they’re learning in Xello/Classes—it’s a great tool for starting conversations about the future!
