This conference is free, and open to all adjunct faculty in the Treasure Valley, as well as anyone interested in learning about supporting adjunct faculty and their work.

Call for Proposals is NOW OPEN!

The co-chairs of the Treasure Valley Adjunct Conference (TVAC) are issuing a Call for Proposals for this peer-reviewed conference spotlighting adjunct faculty. This year's conference will take place on May 14th, 2020 from 10 AM - 3 PM on the campus of Boise State University.

This year’s theme is “The Expert Adjunct: Sharing our Experiences.” We invite adjunct faculty to submit any proposal that highlights the quality of adjunct faculty scholarship and use of effective teaching practices and encourage presenters to frame their sessions around lessons learned/knowledge gained through the experience of adjunct faculty work. Through this lens, we hope to provide a place to learn from, collaborate with and create community among adjunct faculty in our region.

Anyone teaching for a Treasure Valley institution of higher education is welcome to submit a proposal, including faculty who teach online, whether they are located in the Treasure Valley or teach from a distance. Technology will be available to hold remote sessions during the conference, so please feel free to submit your session ideas even if you are not able to join us in person. There are a number of ways to present this year including 10-minute speed rounds, 30-minute presentations, 50-minute interactive workshops and a poster session. We are looking forward to a day packed full of ideas and strategies that highlight the multitude of voices that represent adjunct faculty throughout the valley.

Submit your proposal by March 15th, 2020 at the following link: https://forms.gle/uvFDXP3jTWqQ851p9

NOTE: In completing the call for proposals, you will be asked to 1) provide an overview of the session topic, 2) the preferred length for the presentation, and 3) to tag their session to one of our conference themes.

We look forward to receiving your submission.
