MWEE (Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience)
In 2022, three 5th grade classes collaborated in efforts to limit the trash and pollutants that go into the James River from Hilton Beach, near our playground. They researched, composed products, shared information with staff, and designed a school-wide playground and ravine cleanup. In addition, they organized and planned for this to re-occur in future years. We are so appreciative and proud of their efforts!
