THE BOY AND THE FILBERTS
A Boy was given permission to put his hand into a pitcher to get some filberts. But he took such a great fistful that he could not draw his hand out again. There he stood, unwilling to give up a single filbert and yet unable to get them all out at once. Vexed and disappointed, he began to cry.
"My boy," said his mother, "be satisfied with half the nuts you have taken, and you will easily get your hand out. Then perhaps you may have some more filberts some other time."
Tewinkle Version
One time in Journalism, with the best teacher ever, Mr. Porzio, Marley Yeager and Nicholas Zuniga were sitting next to each other. Marley asked for some glue to put on his hands, and Nicholas had a lot. Nicholas gave him some, but Marley reached for more. Since his hands were already full, he could ńot grab more and dropped all the other glue containers.
Lesson: Do not attempt too much at once
A girl skipped back home with a clear dream in her mind. She couldn’t wait to start learning the violin! After watching the concert and being amazed by the violinists and their skill, she’d fallen in love with everything about the violin.
With her friend's old violin in hand, she rushed through the door to her house and lunged up the stairs to her room. After pulling up a YouTube tutorial, she started playing.
But the notes came out sharp, or flat, and very few times was she able to recreate sounds like she had heard at the concert.
This practice session had felt like hours! But when she looked at the clock, only 10 minutes had gone by.
“Whatever,” the girl mumbled, “Violin’s stupid anyway”. The lesson is is there are many who pretend to despise and belittle that which is beyond their reach.

THE ECOLOGISTS & THE DESERT
Analiah and Shelsea were searching the sands of the Sahara Desert. Their metal detector beeped.
“It’s probably nothing,” Analiah brushed it off but then it beeps again.
“What if it’s a gold coin?” Shelsea says. “Let’s dig up then!” Analiah exclaimed.
And so the two ecologist digged up the sand, trying to find their supposed gold coin.
But they didn’t. All they saw was a small piece of zinc, which was definitely not gold.
