What is the focus of PAMA Instrumental Music?
The PAMA Instrumental Music branch encourages students to take xtra steps to develop theur musical skills and to promote artistic growth. The program also prepares students for the possibility of continuing their musical training in a collegiate setting, or in the professional world. PAMA students are NOT required to seek enrollment in a commercial music school or college/university as a music major. We only want to help prepare for the audition process, and to help provide the technical and theoretical background a continuing music student would need.
Who can enroll in PAMA?
The program is intended for high school students, and are highly encourage to enroll in their freshman year. Transfer students can inquire about joining after their freshman year if they have been active in their previous school's music program. 8th graders may also apply to join in their 9th grade year. Students do not have to have a particular background or level of training before they enter the PAMA program.
