Description of Team Drone New Mexico summer camps

Through the Team-Drone New Mexico summer camps, students will learn different aspects of unmanned air systems, including novel classification of flying drones from unmanned air vehicles until smart dusts, with their new defined applications. They will also become familiar with the design challenges of space and marine drones, existing methods for increasing the drones’ endurance, and various control, guidance, navigation, and manufacturing techniques. Students will participate in the design, CAD modeling, aerodynamic analysis, simulation in XFLR5 software and manufacturing of a small fixed-wing micro air vehicle. During this course, students will be able to get connected remotely to the New Mexico Tech (NMT) drone cage-flight simulator and fly a drone.

Summer Camps-2021

STEM Santa Fe

These summer drone camps (“Building and Flying Drones”) were conducted by STEM Santa Fe in partnership with New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech). Students can earn one college credit from NMT for attending one of these camps.
