The Toxicology of Oil in Vertebrates Workshop will be held in Boulder, CO. The elevation in Boulder is 5,300 ft, and Fall is an entirely unpredictable month as far as the weather. Drink plenty of water while you're here, and pack plenty of layers. It's equally likely that it will be 75°F and sunny or that there will be a foot of snow on the ground-- and that could even happen on the same day! So far, the weather looks pretty nice: National Weather Service.
The meeting will be held in the "Century Room".
Meeting participants will be on there own for breakfast and lunch. There is an on-site restaurant that has our agenda and will be ready for 30 customers for breakfast prior to our meeting and during our lunch breaks. Especially for lunch, we encourage everyone to eat on-site at Thyme on the Creek to stay within the one hour allotment. Their menu is here.
You will be on your own for dinner. Almost all of the restaurants in Boulder cater to Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets. Talk to Ryan if you'd like any suggestions.
The closest commercial airport is in Denver, Colorado. From there, you have several options other than rental cars:
We are encouraging a highly interactive meeting atmosphere in the conference room in Boulder. Therefore, to avoid the inevitable difficulties with two-way remote participation, we will only offer a "listening only" webinar option for those that can't attend in person. We also want to encourage participants to share research and findings that may not be published, and therefore we will not be collecting and sharing slides.
