At the end of this lesson, you will be able to admit or decline a participant trying to join from outside of your organization (NLESD) or if you have Quick Access turned off in Host Controls.
When someone from outside of our organization (NLESD) tries to enter the Meet, the Host will receive a notification asking to either Admit or Deny Entry to the user. This may be a guardian joining a Program Planning Team meeting or a Family-Teacher Interview. It could also be a guest speaker from outside of NLESD joining to present to your class, for example.
If you have used the "Host Controls" (shield icon) to turn Quick Access off, then you will have to admit everyone who enters the Meet, including members of our organization (NLESD), unless they have been intentionally invited to the Meet through Calendar.
Now, create a Meet and have a colleague or family member join from a personal account (non-NLESD) so you can see for yourself how the admitting participants function works.
