1. Baggie Books:

-Please remember to bring back baggy books every day. We use them in class daily for reading & writing activities. I have told the children the best way to not forget their baggy book is to place it back in its "home" when finished (their backpack).

2. Money/Field Trip Forms:

Please ensure ALL money or forms (field trip, book order, fundraising, etc) are sent to school with the following info. attached to the envelope or baggie:

- child's name

- what is enclosed (field trip, fundraiser, hot dog order, etc)

- Amount (cheque or correct change)

- Class - Mrs. Pike

3. Sneakers: Please ensure students have GYM and/or INDOOR SNEAKERS at school.

4. Clothing:

-Please ensure students are dressed appropriately (warm jacket, sweater, gloves, hat, etc) for the weather as we will be going outside most days (weather permitting) during lunch time play.

-Please label, if possible, any clothing items you wish such as sneakers, coats and boots etc. While we do encourage responsibility, our children are very young and can easily misplace/lose items. If their name or initials are on them it could make it easier for us to find the items and return them to their owner.

-Please do not send any expensive items on field trips or anything you may not want them to lose. Again, our children are very young and their items can be very easily lost.

5. Toys:

-Please do not send in any toys to school. If your child would like to have a toy for after school please have them leave it in their school bag. We will have a designated toy day during the months & show and share.

6. Absent/Sick:

Please write a note, phone the school, or, e-mail me if your child is absent from school.

IMPORTANT Message from the Administration as well as Grade Two teachers:

We ask parents and guardians to refrain from dropping their children at the classroom door. There are security issues in our school as well as congestion in the hallways so we ask that all parents drop their child at the main entrance. This is very important not only for the issues listed previous but as well as for developing independence and confidence. Thank you for support.
