Homework

BEE is an acronym for Bring Everything Everyday. This is a duo-tang folder that stores everything students and parents will need to keep up to date on what is happening at school. These folders also help students to develop good organizational skills and responsibility. Grade One children will be responsible for taking this folder to and from school each day.

Pockets - Newsletters, notes, memos, field trip permission forms, book orders, and monthly calendars will be placed in the pockets of the folder. Your child’s baggy book and reading log will also be kept in the pocket of the folder. Notes from home to the teacher should also be placed in the pockets and will be checked each morning at school.

Baggy Book - Your child will be bringing home a baggy book for the week that is at his/her reading level. After reading each evening, please sign the reading log (each title should only be recorded once) and place the baggy book back in the BEE folder.

Homework - Activities will be placed in the folder each week accompanied by a listing of what to do each evening from Monday to Thursday. The folder is to be returned to school each day and will be collected each Friday. The folder will be returned to students on Monday with new homework activities.

Class List – For your convenience and reference, a class list is enclosed in your child’s BEE folder.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s BEE folder, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!
