School Development Surveys are conducted annually to gather feedback from students, staff, and parents/guardians to inform the school development process. The survey results will be provided to the school and will be used with other data to identify Holy Trinity Elementary strengths and challenges. The school will then create and implement a plan to build on successes and address areas of challenge. The survey is anonymous, which means that we cannot connect your survey responses to you. We encourage everyone to participate so that we have the most accurate representation of family perceptions at HTE.

Halloween Costumes
We will be celebrating Halloween at HTE on Tuesday, October 31st. Halloween is an exciting time for all of our students at HTE. In order to ensure this is an enjoyable and safe activity for everyone, we ask that you please note the following costume guidelines:
Students are permitted to wear their costumes all day on October 31st. Please keep in mind that your child will be engaged in a variety of classroom activities throughout the day, will be moving through the building, as well as eating both recess and lunch at school.
Halloween is a fun time, and we encourage creativity when selecting or creating costumes, however, we are asking parents/guardians to ensure that costumes are age appropriate for our school setting.
In regards to costumes, we do ask that makeup be applied prior to students coming to school and that you not apply makeup that may cause irritation.
Students are asked to not bring along props such as swords or weapons, etc. for safety reasons.
Masks will be worn in the classroom only with the permission of the teacher.
Masks will not be worn during our Halloween parade to avoid potentially scaring other children.
Class Celebrations & Treats
We often celebrate special occasions in our classrooms (e.g., Halloween, Christmas, Easter). These are always exciting events for our students, and we truly appreciate the kindness of families that want to contribute to the festivities. However, when we consider our Provincial School Food Guidelines , along with food allergies/sensitivities and the increased cost of living in our province, it becomes clear that having treats sent in for other students is problematic for a variety of reasons.
To ensure that all students feel safe and included, we will not be able to accept treats sent in for other students, including edible treats and non-edible treats. There may be times throughout the year where students will be permitted to bring their own individual party snacks.
School Council Nominations:
We are currently accepting nominations for the roles of parent representatives and community representatives for school council until October 17th.
