Hi everyone! Thanks for coming to visit Counsellor's Corner. I hope that you've found some useful resources. Maybe you've clicked this part of the website because or you got lost, or maybe you want to learn a little about me.
I grew up in Gander, then moved to St. John's to attend Memorial University of Newfoundland. There, I completed my Bachelor of Arts (English Major, French and Psychology Minors), Bachelor of Education (intermediate/ Secondary), and my Masters of Education (Counselling Psychology).
I'm a 6th year School Counsellor, and work with students from Kinderstart all the way to high-school Graduation. This is my 4th year being shared between Heritage Collegiate and Anthony Paddon. Before I started in this area, I was a school counsellor shared between 3 schools in Roddickton, Englee, and Main Brook on the Great Northern Peninsula. I was also a school counsellor at New World Island Academy.
I also have a teaching background - I have taught in Glovertown, Eastport, and was a substitute teacher in the Metro area while I completed by Masters degree full time.
In my spare time, I enjoy yoga (I'm also a registered yoga teacher who has completed YTT-200), hiking, watercolours, travelling, gardening, and reading.
