Counselling

Personal Counselling:

Students having any personal concerns should contact the guidance counselor and set up an appointment or feel free to drop by anytime!!


Academic Counselling:

A Guidance Counselor can help students with Course selection, tips and strategies for studying and test taking and determining if a student may require any additional supports in order to meet with academic success.


Career Counselling:

Career planning and post-secondary information is available from your guidance counsellor. A guidance counsellor can help you match your personal interests, goals and aspirations to a career and provide you with specific information regarding a variety of career options.


Group Counselling:

Students may wish to see their counsellor with friends, in a small group setting. Topics in the areas of relationships, health, stress management, and career plans can be discussed in group counselling.


DoorWays:

This year we are so fortunate to have a counsellor from DoorWays Walk -In Counselling Service visit our school. The Adolescent Mental Health Social Worker, Stephanie Cooper will be visiting our school for the morning session once a month on the following dates: Feb. 24th, March 23rd, April 20th, May 25th and June 8th. If you would like to meet with Stephanie just let Ms. Doyle know before Stephanie's arrival so that you can avail of an appointment!

DoorWays Walk-In Clinic is also available every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m at the Taylor Building in Harbour Grace (33 Cathedral Street). You may also reach them by calling (709) 945-6512 or 945-6584.
