Recognise: Be vigilant. Know the signs of potential abuse, neglect, or harm—whether physical, emotional, or financial.
Respond: Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it’s essential to act.
Report: Promptly document and report any safeguarding concerns, no matter how minor they may seem via the Birdie app or directly to the Safeguarding Lead.
Prevent: Your proactive attention can help prevent harm. Prioritise client safety in all interactions.
If you encounter a safeguarding issue:
Document the Concern: Record details accurately and objectively. Include what you saw, heard, or were told, along with relevant times and dates.
Report Immediately: Contact your line manager Rachel Holles, our Safeguarding Lead, Mrs. Eisenzweig.
Do Not Delay: Timely reporting is critical to ensure clients receive the necessary support and protection.
Remember: You are never alone in handling safeguarding concerns. Support is available at every step.
