October 2023 PD: We're All Getting Newlines, What Can they Do? (October 23, 25, 26 @ 2:30pm)

We will go over the features and capabilities of the Newline interactive TV beyond casting to it and using it as a second, large monitor. It can potentially be quite useful to you in a variety of lessons, so we will go over its other features and how it can potentially streamline or enhance the effectiveness of direct instruction. 

November 2023 PD: Tools to Create Self-Paced Student Activities (November 27, 29, 30 @ 2:30pm)

Over a 30-45 minute session, we will go over a couple tools that allow teachers to quickly and easily create self-paced activities that are helpful for the introduction, reinforcement, or remediation of content. Highlights will be Nearpod and NoRedInk. Nearpod is a powerful tool for creating effective and engaging instruction, while NoRedInk is an incredible resource for helping students build foundational reading and writing skills at their own pace. 

February 2024 PD: Tools That Make Your Teaching Life Easier (February 9th @ 2:30pm in Room 308)

For 30-45 minutes, we will go through several tools that help you create lesson plans, class resources, and activities quickly. They are AI-based, but are very easy to use and intuitive after some brief practice. They are also FREE and do not currently require a subscription.

April 2024 PD: Tools That Make Your Life Easier Part 2 (April 15, 22, and 29)

For 30-45 minutes, we will go through several tools that help you create lesson plans, class resources, and activities quickly. This includes both AI and non-AI tools and resources that I think you will find extremely helpful in a variety of circumstances.
