ASK-VIP is seeking foster/adoptive parents who are caring for a child who is deaf or hard of hearing. The support group will meet monthly and will be facilitated by Christina Delk. Christina has worked for 23 years as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH). She is certified as an Exceptional Needs Specialist for DHH students (birth-21) and currently works as the Supervisor for DHH Services in Jefferson County and Principal for Heuser Hearing and Language Academy. She is a supporter of Kentucky Hands & Voices and Kentucky Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KYEDHH). She has organized state and regional events for DHH students and teachers and presented at national, state, and district DHH conferences. Christina and her husband have seven children: three biological, one adopted, and three foster children. Three children are Deaf, with one being Deaf+.
