Course Description
This course is open to guitar students that are at the intermediate skill level. The course is designed to build skills and concepts beginning where the Guitar 1 course ended.
● Focal points will be to continue to learn to read music and develop guitar playing skills,
which include: standard notation, tablature, chords, rhythm, strumming styles, and finger
picking. We will explore a wide variety of songs to facilitate and put into practice the
concepts and lessons presented in class.
● Students will work on songs from a variety of styles that develop their range and
knowledge of guitar music.
● Students will work individually and in small groups.
● Each day, students will be expected to participate in group instruction and independent
practice.
● Students will learn about performing music.
