Northeastern University's Center for Inclusive Computing (CIC) is the primary sponsor of inclusive computing at NJIT. CIC's mission is to substantially increase the representation of women majoring in computing across the United States. AnitaB.org creates strong and inspiring communities, events and programs to support women in building rewarding careers in technology.
Computer Science @ NJIT is one of 15 founding partner institutions within the BRAID (Building, Recruiting, And Inclusion for Diversity) Initiative, co-led by AnitaB.org and Harvey Mudd College. Through activities such as organizing student outreach events, supporting undergraduate and graduate women's computing clubs, and participating in the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference, NJIT's Computer Science department is committed to increasing access and community of underrepresented groups within its Computer Science programs.
Momentum conducts cutting-edge research to inform efforts to recruit and retain women and people of color into computing education pathways and technology fields.
The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) is a non-profit organization that works to increase the meaningful participation of girls and women in computing. Their mission is to correct the imbalance of gender diversity in technology and computing and empower change leaders to recruit, retain and advance women in computing. Computer Science @ NJIT is a member of NCWIT and an active participant in NCWIT's Academic Alliance. NJIT also participated in the NCWIT Extensions Services program in 2018/2019.
NJIT WiCS - NJIT's Undergraduate Women in Computing Society (WiCS) promotes and supports NJIT's growing community of women studying in the fields of computing and technology. Through WiCS, members develop their skill set at student-hosted workshops, participate in mentorship, and network at national conferences.
NJIT G-WiCS - NJIT's Graduate Women In Computing Society aims at empowering and encouraging women in technology.
ACM-W - NJIT's chapter of the ACM Student Club for Women. ACM-W supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field.
Murray Center for Women in Technology @ NJIT - The Murray Center is a university-wide network that connects women students and faculty to each other and to the resources they need to be successful.
