Alumni Donation Opportunities:
NITK Administration promotes direct participation of Alumni in building institute and invites them to involve through funding various Frontier Areas of Science and Technology. Following are few avenues for funding:
Institute Infrastructure Development: (Rs 10 Crore / Rs 100 Million or above)
Setting up Centre of Excellence / Innovation.
Setting up Schools of higher learning
Establishment of new Space / Building / Facility / Laboratory
Funding Specific Domain of activity: ( Ranging Rs 25,000 to Rs 10 Crore) (INR 0.025 to 100 Million)
Establishment of Professorial Chair in specific department / division
Innovation / product development project of students.
Student projects on Economic / Statistical survey and analytics
Support faculty on laboratory development on thematic areas
Faculty and Student (combined) projects on:
Community / rural development Project Activity.
Research / Development projects on Smart city / Smart Material / Smart Grid / Smart Machines.
Funding procedure
Fund request for each Domain specific activity will be provided by respective department associated with Academic Programme (B.Tech., M.Tech., MSc, MBA, PhD).
HOD or the Faculty in-charge for Alumni activity of respective academic programme (B.Tech, M.Tech., MSc, MBA, PhD.) of the department are the point of contact

NITK Surathkal Diamond Jubilee Celebration
NITK Surathkal celebrates Diamond Jubilee Year of its inception, from 6th August 2019 (Founder's Day) to 5th August 2020.
Various events viz. workshops, summits, symposiums sport events and conferences are planned to mark this occasion.
Donation of Rs.5000/- from every Alumnus / Alumna is solicited to support events cited above.
Donors can specify the donation purpose as "NITK Surathkal Diamond Jubilee Celebration".

Option 1: Donate ONLINE through payment Gateway
IRIS-NITK Team in association with Dean (AAIR) Office has developed software to integrate online donation to NITK Endowment Fund. Steps for the payment are given below:
1. Login to IRIS platform:
Alumni having IRIS Account: Login to your IRIS Account at: https://iris.nitk.ac.in/ . Once logged in go to the link: https://iris.nitk.ac.in/alumni/donate .
Alumni not having IRIS Account: Alumni not having an IRIS Account can go to the link: https://iris.nitk.ac.in/alumni/donate
2. Alumni are requested to fill the email address field with one of their verified email addresses and click on the Send OTP Email button’.
3. Once done, Alumni are requested to check their emails (please check the spam folder if not found in the inbox) for the OTP and enter the OTP on IRIS. Next click on “Login” button and proceed forward.
4. Once you are logged in, you will view the Alumni dashboard. Click on “Make a new Donation.
5. The Alumni Donation form will appear after which you are requested to fill out the form with your details. In case you are an Indian Citizen looking for Income Tax Exemption on this donation, kindly add your PAN Number as well in the form and ensure you fill out the correct permanent address, as the ITR Exemption Certificate will be sent by the Institute to your Permanent Address.
6. Once you are done filling the entire form, click on “Save Donation Details”.
7. The next step is the payment step where you are requested to initiate Payment using Billdesk. You can use the various options that Billdesk provides to pay the required amount.
8. Once the payment is successful you will get a mail at your registered email-ID regarding successful transaction if completed.
Option 2: Donate through Bank Transfer and email the filled donor data form:
Donors residing outside India can also transfer donation amount using “SWIFT “code of SBI, Mangalore SBININBB146 or through alternate means such as Internet Banking Facility.
