LAMPs overview
The Laboratory for Additive Manufacturing Processes (LAMPs), established in 2025, is a dynamic research hub dedicated to advancing the performance of additively manufactured and unconventionally processed materials. The team comprises 12 passionate research scholars, 4 PG scholars and 4 UG scholars exploring cutting-edge areas such as Additive Manufacturing, Solid-State Material Processing, Material Degradation, and the Mechanical, Tribological, and Machining Behaviour of Advanced Materials.
LAMPs has built a strong reputation with publications in high-impact journals like Wear, Tribology International, Materials and Manufacturing Processes, CIRP Journal of Manufacturing Science and Technology, Materials Letters, Scientific Reports (Nature), and the Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering.

Mr. Cyril T varghese and Mr. Adith M secured placement at Bajaj Pvt Ltd on PGET roles.
Mr. Antony joined the Department of Applied Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering, IIT Madras, as JRF.
Dr. Sandeep OS defended his thesis entitled, "Investigation into the anisotropic behaviour of WAAM fabricated SS304L".
Mr. Jino Joshy was awarded the ANRF travel grant for attending the 24th Wear of Materials conference hosted by Elsevier at Sitges, Spain. He was also awarded the WOM student travel award.
