LAMPs overview
The Laboratory for Additive Manufacturing Processes (LAMPs), established in 2025, is a dynamic research lab dedicated to advancing the performance of additively manufactured and unconventionally processed materials. The lab is led by Dr. Basil Kuriachen and comprises of 12 passionate research scholars, 5 PG scholars and 16 UG scholars exploring cutting-edge areas such as Additive Manufacturing, Solid-State Material Processing, Material Degradation, and the Mechanical, Tribological, and Machining Behaviour of Advanced Materials.
LAMPs has built a strong reputation with publications in high-impact journals like Wear, Tribology International, Materials and Manufacturing Processes, CIRP Journal of Manufacturing Science and Technology, Materials Letters, Scientific Reports (Nature), and the Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering.
