CALICUT (kOZHIKODE)

Kozhikode, bestowed with the title of “City of Literature”, is a coastal city in the south Indian state of Kerala which is famous for producing many prominent writers of Malayalam Literature. The city of Kozhikode was added to UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the category of city of literature. The city is also noted for its appreciation of Ghazals and Hindustani music in addition to cuisines including seafood preparations and a variety of sweet dishes like Halwa.  A pristine haven in nature, Kozhikode is filled with lush greenery, places of historical and cultural significance, serene beaches, attractive and eye-catching sceneries, mesmerizing waterfalls, trekking spots, ancient heritage sites and lots more.
