A Nisky Ultimate frisbee team of ten players from Iroquois MS travelled to New Paltz on Oct 26, 2025. Our players were all working hard and making great plays in difficult windy conditions! Mason Hamilton led the team with 7 scores. Evan Lee had 8 assists. Warren Westbrook had 2 amazing layout blocks. Aaron Lalla dominated the high discs, and Elian Labault-Alvelo had stifling defense including 5 “D’s” in one marathon point. Team members Crono Bowers, Liam Labault-Alvelo, Aaron Nebu, Finn Russo, and Barrett Salmi rounded out a solid team with great flow. In the seven-team tournament, Nisky played a team from Vermont and two from New Jersey and finished 3-0, winning the tournament! The team was awarded victory donuts! Nisky Ultimate had great spirit, worked hard, played well, and most importantly, had fun. The team was supported by a grant awarded to Maria Westbrook from the Niskayuna Community Foundation.
We walked in the parade, hosted a table in the community tent, and played in an exhibition game with the Niskayuna Pickup group. It was a great day!
