Dr. Shyam Kumar Banjare

Shyam was born and raised in Jaijaipur, Chhattisgarh. He received his BSc and MSc degrees from Bilaspur University in the years 2013 and 2015, respectively. He served as an ad-hoc faculty member in Organic Chemistry from 2016 to 2017 at Central University, GGV, Bilaspur. Then, he joined as a junior research fellow in January 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Ponneri C. Ravikumar at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar. Currently, he is working as a senior research scholar, where his research interest is focused on catalytic chemistry for the “Development of sustainable and eco-friendly first-row transition metal cobalt-catalyzed C–H and C–C bond functionalization through weak chelation.” He also likes to listen to music, dance, and learn new skills & techniques for edifying chemistry.
