Namrata was born and raised in Kendrapara, Odisha. She completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons) in 2011 from Kendrapara Autonomous College, Kendrapara under the affiliation of Utkal University, Odisha, and her M.Sc. in 2013 from Sambalpur University, Odisha. She completed her M.Phil. in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Braja Narayana Patra from Sambalpur University in 2014. Then she joined National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar as a junior research fellow in January 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Ponneri C. Ravikumar. Her research interest focuses on organic synthesis involving C-H and C-N bond activation. She also likes to listen to music, learn new things, and get involved in social activities.
Awards:
Third prize in poster presentation at the National Conference on Organic Synthesis (NCOS) 2020 held at Berhampur University.
Awarded International Travel Grant by SERB for attending ACS Conference at Chicago (August 2022)
