Established on 10th September 2007, the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, is a premier institution in India dedicated to the generation, dissemination, and preservation of knowledge in the basic sciences. An autonomous institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), NISER is academically affiliated with the prestigious Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai. Initially operating from the Institute of Physics, NISER now thrives on a sprawling 300-acre campus in Jatni, located about 25 km from Bhubaneswar city centre.
