About the Directors

Mr. Lorey grew up in Oklahoma City before moving to Texas. Mr. Lorey graduated from West Texas A&M University. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Mr. Lorey taught at Odessa Permian High School and Borger High School before he went into full-time music ministry for 21 years. He has come back into the public school forum and has taught in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD for two years before coming to Tidwell. He is now in his 2^nd year at Tidwell Middle School. Mr. Lorey teaches 6^th Grade Boys Choir, Titan Singers and Varsity Treble. He is super excited about being at Tidwell working with fantastic staff and amazing students! He also loves spending time with his four grown children and four grandchildren!

Ms Mangum is in her fourth year as the Assistant Choir Director at Tidwell Middle School. She is the lead teacher of the 6th grade girls and Bella Voce. Ms. Mangum graduated in 2014 from Texas Christian University (go frogs!!) with a Bachelors of Music Education, cum laude. Recently, Ms Mangum was Level II certified in Kodaly Choral Track.In her free time, she sings with two highly skilled adult choirs, Fort Worth Chorale, and Voices of Fort Worth. She also enjoys hiking, traveling, yoga, and watching Netflix.
