For a new to NISD teacher, the Welcome Home conference is an intense experience of excitement combined with a treasure trove of resources.  Teachers who are new to the district often experience some anxiety related to their technology.  This quick lunch and learn professional development gives new teachers a brief look at the most-frequently used applications they will need to use on a day-to-day basis.

This PD begins by explaining the NISD Portal and all of its beauty, followed by key features of our most essential tech tools: Canvas, Teacher Access Center, and Edugence.  Without diving into details or doing much exploration, this gives teachers a quick concept of where they will access key information so that they can begin to frame questions for their mentors/buddies and support staff.
