About Me

Original Okie

I was born and raised in Enid, OK. I attended school at Enid High School, where I met my husband Eli. We have one son, Ethan.

I graduated from OSU in 2003 with a B.S. in Secondary Education and an emphasis in Social Studies. I also have a minor in History.

WMS

My first teaching assignment was in Enid, OK at Waller Middle School--my Alma Mater. Over a 13 year period I taught Social Studies 6-9, Mathematics 6-8, ELA 6-8, and Teen Leadership.

MMS

In the summer of 2016, my family and I made the move to Texas so I could begin my journey as an ELA teacher at Medlin. We have enjoyed our life in DFW and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for us here.

The Siders family includes my husband, myself, my son-Ethan and dog-Lily.

A Little About Me

I enjoy reading, camping, and watching old movies. If I'm not at school, you can probably catch me at Starbucks or Barnes & Noble.
