Head over to the beginner supply list to see what is required for beginner band.
I'm interested in playing percussion, what do I do?
Sign up for the April 25 fitting. But, there wil be a separate audition as well. More details to come! There is NO prior experience or supplies required for students to audition. The percussion audition tests such things as natural rhythm, coordination, pulse, and dexterity. Students with piano experience are definitely encouraged to audition but that is not a requirement. Percussion is a collection of instruments including drums, mallet instruments (xylophones, marimbas, etc.) and accessory instruments (tambourines, triangles, etc.). Prospective percussionists should be eager to play music, interested in learning, have good math skills, and a desire to be in band.
