MEET THE PRINCIPAL

Hawk Families,

It is with pure joy that I send this initial communication to each of you. It is truly an honor to be chosen as Prairie View Elementary’s principal. I am thankful for the opportunity to further serve this community that I love so much and look forward to connecting and/or reconnecting with each of you and your children as I return to PVE. I had the opportunity to briefly meet the PVE staff last week and was greeted with a very warm welcome. It was clear to me how much this staff continues to care about the people - students, each other and community, and I am excited to work beside each of them as we inspire and encourage students to achieve greatness both academically and socially-emotionally. I look forward to my first days back at Prairie View as I meet your children and visit classrooms. They are my absolute why! I believe that you play an integral role in the education of your child. Strong partnerships between the home and school are essential for student growth and success. I look forward to partnering with each of you and the staff to continue growing the culture of excellence that has been established for every student. I have been dedicated to the field of education for the past 21 years, most of which have been in Northwest ISD. I taught elementary, middle and high school, all in NISD. Beyond the classroom, I have worked in an educational leadership capacity, both at the campus and district levels, as a campus instructional teacher, mathematics coordinator, and assistant principal. The opportunity to serve my home community as the principal of Prairie View Elementary is a dream come true! I am humbled by and most appreciative of the days to come. I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to see you!
