Mark Scott is in his thirteenth year teaching trombone in Northwest ISD. He draws upon a diverse background to create positive and lasting musical experiences for his students, ensembles, and audiences. Mr. Scott's trombone students have made Texas all-state, earned first-division ratings at regional and state solo contests, and played in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. They learn from a well-rounded curriculum anchored in fundamentals, supplemented with a trombone choir he conducts. Mr. Scott earned Bachelor of Music degrees in performance and composition at the University of North Texas, and a Master of Music degree in conducting at the University of New Mexico. Away from music he enjoys running, watching soccer, and traveling with his wife Sara.
